General Questions

Our OC Triangle Tour is definitely the most popular! It captures favorite destinations like Huntington Beach down to Newport Harbor for a great taste of SoCal beach life.

IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT? . . .

To fly safely, each helicopter has a specific weight limit. Passenger weight verification may be required. Customers found to be over this seat limit will not be able to fly and will be charged the full cost of the flight. By booking a tour, you acknowledge that no passenger in your group is 300 lbs or more. In the event that any passenger is overweight by 15 lbs or more, there will be additional fees charged.

WHO CAN FLY? . . .

All ages will love tours! Anyone age 2+ must pay for a seat and ticket. (Carseats are allowed for little ones!) Anyone under 2 may sit on a lap and must wear headsets. (We encourage bringing your own noise-cancelling headphones.)

One to three passengers can enjoy the same tour depending on the helicopter you choose.

We ask that if you are feeling sick, please stay home!

WHAT ABOUT RESCHEDULING OR CANCELLATIONS? . . .

Guests are allowed to reschedule up to one time for a rebooking fee of $25 and must be requested 48 hours or more before the scheduled flight. Any cancellation after rebooking will be refunded only 10% of the original purchase. Cancellations 15 days or more from departure receive a full refund. Cancellations 14 days to 48 hours before departure receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of departure receive a 10% refund. A no-show will result in a total charge in the full amount of the tour. In the event of adverse weather, Temporary Flight Restrictions, or unforeseen maintenance, no refunds may be given. However, your tour may be rebooked up to two times by Rogue Aviation in the event of adverse weather, Temporary Flight Restrictions, or unforeseen maintenance at no additional charge.

Preparing For Your Flight

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? . . .

The helicopter is temperature controlled with AC. Dress comfortably!

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? . . .

You will need a valid, government-issued photo ID or passport to enter the airfield.

CAN WE BRING CAMERAS? . . .

Go Pros, miniature gimbals, and DSLR cameras are allowed as long as they aren’t too big and won’t interfere with the pilot! (Of course, your phones are absolutely allowed too.) If you’re looking to make more of a production (aka fly doors off and get professional aerial footage) look into one of our photo flights instead! About the helicopter

Will the doors stay on or off? . . .

Doors stay on during tours, however, for photo flights, doors are automatically removed for ideal photo quality.

Will there be seatbelts? . . .

Absolutely! Before your flight, your pilot will give you a safety run down, which includes seatbelts.

Who is our pilot? . . .

Each tour is piloted by one of our certified flight instructors. You’ll be in good hands. Our CFIs have years of experience. They will meet you outside the airfield to bring you to your helicopter.

Will there be a place to store purses and backpacks? . . .

While there is a small compartment under your seat, space is very limited! This is also included in the total allowable seat weight of 300 lbs. So travel light and only bring the absolute necessities.


Pricing

Are taxes and fuel surcharges included in the booking price? . . .

Yes, it’s all included. No surprise fees!

Do we need to tip our pilot? . . .

It is appreciated but not at all required!

Can we plan an engagement or other special event? . . .

Absolutely! If you’re looking to plan something special or surprise someone, we’d love to help. When you plan a custom tour, you can explore meaningful spots from the skies. Any special tour requests require a notice of at least 48 hours in advance of booking (more than 48 hrs is highly recommended). Additional fees may apply, please call or email for more details.

Do you make stops on your tours or offer charter flights? . . .

Not at the moment, however we will definitely have some fun stuff on the way very soon!
