Hyundai Looks to the Future with Our Aerials!

Step into the future! This month, Hyundai released concept footage of a shining world of tomorrow with the S-A1, their plan to support “quiet, safe, affordable, passenger-centered” transportation, at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show.

What does this new world look like? It takes the form of a glimmering San Francisco, complete with silent aircraft and sleek public transportation. Hyundai sprinkled our very own San Fran clips throughout their video, released on January 7th, to showcase their exciting flying taxi. Did you spot them all? (Hint: check the opening scene, 1:57, 2:01, and again at the closing scene.)

What do you think? Can you picture taking off in a flying taxi and zooming past the Golden Gate Bridge one day? Or are you unconvinced?

“At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Monday, the two companies revealed a model of a four-seat, electric flying vehicle that they said you'll be able to summon for a ride through Uber's app someday. The first actual prototype will be ready in 2023, according to a Hyundai spokesperson. A human pilot will fly the air taxi until the companies finalize software to autonomously control it, the company said.”

The future looks bright, Hyundai! As always, it’s awesome to see our clips reimagined into a new vision.
