Important Fuel Surcharge Rate Announcement

Hello, Rogue Aviators!

We have an important update that we wanted to share with you right away.

As we all know, the price of gas has increased significantly over the past year. We raised our rates in June 2021 to address this, but they just kept going up!

In October of 2021, 100LL was $5.71/gallon and as of March 8, 2022, it is now $7.12/gallon. This is a $1.41 increase. Jet A was at $3.92/gallon and is now $4.53/gallon. This is an increase of $.61.

While Rogue Aviation remains committed to keeping our rates reasonable so that aviation can remain accessible, these increases are eating into our already-thin margins.

Today, instead of raising our rates, we are announcing a new fuel surcharge. This surcharge will fluctuate with the price of fuel on a twice-monthly basis. If fuel rates come back down, you’ll pay less. If they rise, it allows us to cover those costs and continue to serve our flight community.

All invoices will show a separate line item for the fuel surcharge and will be labeled as below:

R22 Fuel Surcharge = $1.41 x 8 GPH = $11.28 per hr. surcharge

R44 Fuel Surcharge = $1.41 x 15 GPH = $21.15 per hr. surcharge

R66 Fuel Surcharge = $.61 x 23 GPH = $14.03  per hr. Surcharge

This surcharge will be effective immediately for all flight training flights and will stay in effect until the rate gets back down to what it was when we made our rate increase.

We value YOU, the Rogue flight community, first and foremost and continue to strive for transparency in our pricing. (That’s the long way of saying, “If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!” Just drop us a line at info@flyrogue.com,)

We thank you for your patience and understanding!

Blue Skies…

James, Matt and Brian
