Welcome Christy to the #FLYROGUE team!
We’ve been very busy building the Rogue Aviation family this year with some incredible new team members. Give it up for Christy, our new operations manager! Something cool about Christy? She’s currently earning her fixed-wing license.
To help you get to know Christy a bit better, we’ve got a little Q&A with her! Let’s dive in.
How long have you been flying, and when did you start?
I started training in fixed wing aircraft in 2021 and have logged 70 hours to date.
Why do you want to be a pilot?
Since I was a child, I dreamed of flying and would be glued to the window during commercial flights. Making my dream a reality has been one of the most empowering things I could do for myself in adulthood.
Why did you choose to work with Rogue Aviation?
I chose to work with Rogue Aviation because of their outstanding devotion to safety and excellence in every area. It was also a great opportunity for me to work in the aviation industry, which brings me great joy, and put my administrative and leadership experience to good use!
What is your favorite part about flying?
Sometimes when I'm flying, I remember to take a moment and realize, "Hey, I'm actually up here above it all. Isn't this a beautiful miracle of invention, courage, and hard work- what a privilege to do what humans have longed to do for centuries."
What tips would you like to share for future pilots?
Never give up, be patient with yourself, and take a moment to celebrate the small wins.
What's your favorite part about being a student pilot?
Gaining confidence in myself as I learn to execute challenging new skills.
