Student Highlight: Shiela Sommers
Meet Shiela Sommers! She’s taking on the skies and earning her commercial wings with Rogue Aviation!
Shiela flies with CFI John, and says he makes learning fun! She says a friendly, positive environment is important to her learning experience.
“I've had my share of subpar instructors and it has definitely been a pleasure having John as my CFI,” Shiela says.
When she struggles with a topic, Shiela says John is right there helping her understand what she needs before moving onto a new one.
“The ground portion had definitely been my weak point while trying to get my private license, and he was patient and stuck with me till I figured it out.”
“Rogue has everything mapped out in a syllabus, and they make sure you don't fall behind,” Shiela says. “They also don't just blow through the information, they make sure you're comprehending everything.”
When Shiela and John aren’t training, they nerd out together on Star Wars! (Yes, you know we’re fans, too!)
But the best part of flight lessons? Shiela says it’s the flying, of course!
