CFI Jake, one of our former students, also serves the community as a pilot for California Highway Patrol’s Golden Gate Division Air Operations. In this role, Jake saves lives with medical evacuations and more. Here’s a bit of what he got up to this month!

On August 13, Jake, his fellow officers, and firefighters of Sonoma County responded to a call regarding a five year old who fell from the second floor of a home. The child was airlifted to Children’s hospital in Oakland. Way to go, Officer Jake!

Earlier in the month, Jake captured a police chase in Vallejo from the skies (complete with two attempted carjackings and the suspect driving the wrong way down the freeway). Check out the whole video here on KTVU2.

We’re so proud of you, Jake! We can’t wait to read more of your rescues.
